The Castleton State College department of athletics is pleased to announce the broadcasting schedule for the 2008-09 winter sports season. Northeast Sports Network will broadcast at least 20 men's and women's ice hockey and basketball home games, with the possibility of more should the Spartans host their respective conference tournaments.

In addition to watching the broadcasts online at www.neksports.net, viewers in Rutland County will be able to watch on the local public television channel 15 hosted by PEGTV.

Highlights of the schedule include the first broadcast, November 14 when the women's ice hockey team opens its home schedule with an ECAC East face-off against the University of Southern Maine at 7:00 pm; and the first men's and women's basketball games held in the newly renovated gymnasium on November 25 versus Plymouth State starting at 5:30 pm.
