CAPE COD, Mass. - Norwich University has been chosen by the coaches of the ECAC Men's East Hockey League as the top team in the 2008-09 preseason poll, earning eight first place and 95 overall votes. The Cadets are coming off a 2007-08 campaign where they posted a 15-4-0 conference mark good enough to win the ECAC Mens East regular season title. Norwich skated to an overall record of 23-7-0, advancing to the 2008 NCAA Frozen Four where they lost to eventual National Champions St. Norbert College.

Castleton, VT-The Castleton State College department of athletics is pleased to announce the broadcasting schedule for the 2008-09 winter sports season. Northeast Sports Network will broadcast at least 20 mens and womens ice hockey and basketball home games, with the possibility of more should the Spartans host their respective conference tournaments.

COLCHESTER, Vt. Saint Michaels College mens hockey coach Chris Davidson has announced that Doug Wright, who played four years at Providence College, will serve as the programs top assistant coach, and Lou DiMasi III, a four-year standout at Norwich University, will become the teams second assistant coach.

The Castleton State Spartans Mens Ice Hockey team is traveling to Germany over Castletons October break (October 4-October 11). The team departed early Saturday morning and arrived in Munich, Germany Sunday morning. The team will be touring various cities and playing against hockey teams in those cities. Coach Alex Todd will be updating the ECAC with events that the team is participating in and results of the hockey games they play in.
