Senior forward Jeffrey Hazelwood (Dublin, CA) had
two goals and two assists as visiting Curry remained unbeaten with an
8-1 victory over Western New England College in an ECAC Northeast
contest Saturday afternoon (Nov. 15) at Smead Arena.

Freshman forward John Williams (Flourtown, PA) also netted a pair of
goals while senior defenseman Jason Tarbell (Manchester, NH) added a
goal and two assists as the Colonels improved their record to 3-0 (their
same mark in the league).

Curry took a 1-0 lead on a power play goal by Tarbell at 6:36 of the
opening period before junior forward Sean Sylvester (Randolph, NJ)
tallied an unassisted goal at the 15:07 mark. Williams added a
short-handed score with 19 seconds remaining to give the Colonels a 3-0
advantage after the opening 20 minutes.

Western New England College pulled within 4-1 on a goal by senior
forward Jason Remsbecker (Farmingdale, NY) at 10:16 of the second stanza.

Junior goalie Steven Jakiel (Santa Clarita, CA) compiled 23 saves for
Curry while junior Dennis Harrsch (Morrisonville, NY) stopped 22 shots
before sophomore Justin Richards (Somers, CT) made nine saves in the
final period.
