Chatham's Lauren Campbell earns ECAC Women's West Player of the Week

Lauren Campbell - Chatham University
Freshman, Foward - Erie, PA/Gilmour Academy
Campbell scored three goals for Chatham in two games against
Cortland State. Her two unassisted goals lifted Chatham to a
2-0 win in their home opener, including a short-handed goal in the
2nd period. Her second goal in the game came with 7 seconds
remaining in the game and sealed the win for the Cougars.
Campbell also scored a goal in a 4-2 loss to Cortland in the second
game of the weekend series.
Goalie of the Week
Jill Doherty - Utica College
Junior, Wellesley, MA/Kents Hill
Doherty held the top team in the nation to just one goal as the
Pioneers' knocked No. 1 Plattsburgh State 2-1 in overtime for the
first time in program history. Doherty stopped 31 shots and
allowed just one power-play goal as she improved to 2-0 on the
season. She ranks third nationally with a .48 goals against
average in 124:51 of action. Her save percentage is currently
.981 and she has stopped 51 total shots.
Rookie of the Week
Alex McPhail - Elmira College
Foward - Oakville Ontario/Toronto Aeros
McPhail tallied her first two career points over the
weekend. In game one, McPhail tallied not only her first
career goal but that goal also proved to be the game-winner.
In game two, McPhail started the game strong notching an assist on
the team's first goal of the game.
Honor Roll
Michelle Witz - Utica College
Senior, Foward - Pelham, NY./Manhattanville College
Witz tallied two points, including the game-winner with five
seconds left in the overtime period, as UC women's hockey team
defeated nationally ranked No.1 Plattsburgh State for the first
time in 22 meetings all-time. Witz also assisted on the
Pioneers' first goal of the evening that knotted the score at 1-1
midway through the second period. Witz now has three points
on one goal and two assists this season.
Danielle Beattie - Plattsburgh State
Senior, Goalie - Brooklin, Ontario/Aurora Panthers
Beattie stopped 30 of 32 shots for a .938 save percentage.
She made 15 saves to earn her ninth career shoutout in
Plattsburgh's 2-0 win over Utica on Friday.
Breanna Roy - SUNY Potsdam
Freshman, Defense - Orleans, Ontario/Nepean Wildcats
Roy had a hand on all three goals for SUNY Potsdam in a 3-1
victory over Oswego State Saturday night. Roy scored two
goals including the game-winner while also adding one assist.
She is currently tied with teammate Stephanie Malcolm as Potsdam's
top scorer with 4 points from 2 goals and 2 assists.
