St. John Fisher captures 2006 ECAC Division III Metro/Upstate Men's Golf Crown
MACEDON, N.Y. - St. John Fisher College took home their third
straight ECAC Division III Metro/Upstate Golf Championship held
at Blue Herron Hills Country Club (par 71) September
30-October 1 2006.
The host team shot 300 the first day of competition, and
tournament low 291 the final day, for a 591 overall score, 27
strokes less than the rest of the field. New York University
took the runner-up position with rounds of 317 and 301 for an
overall of 618. Nazareth College rounded out the top three
with a 638 overall, 327-311 respectively.
Individually, Scott Harris Jr. turned in the tournament low score
with a two-day combined 143 shooting 74-69. The Cardinals
also had an individual finish runner-up in Tom Muto, with rounds of
77 and 69 for an overall 146. NYU's John Pharr finished third
with rounds of 73 and 76 for a 149.
