Carnegie Mellon Wins Easily at 2007 ECAC Division III South Men's Golf Championship

ALLISON PARK, Pa. - Carnegie Mellon University turned the eight-stroke lead it had after Round 1 into a 23-stroke victory in the 2007 ECAC Men's Division III South Golf Championship at Wildwood Golf Club. Carnegie Mellon's two-day total of 637 (+51) beat out Penn State University Altoona, which took second place with a score of 660. La Roche College narrowly captured third place with a score of 685, as Lake Erie College and Penn State University Erie - The Behrend College tied for fourth with the score of 687.
Sean Buenger of Frostburg State University fired a championship-low, even-par 72 in Round 2, to claim the medalist honors. His 36-hole total of 155 (+11) was good enough to win by one stroke over Carnegie Mellon's Chris Lee. Joe Ribelli of Lake Erie placed third with a score of 157.
