Williams Captures 2005 ECAC Division III Men's Cross Country Championship

New London, Conn. - Williams College won their
first ever ECAC Division III Men's Cross Country
Championship held at Harkness State Park on Saturday, November
5.
Williams placed three of the top six finishers to finish with a
score of 46 points. Bates College junior Steve Monsulick (Kents
Hill, Maine) won the individual crown, posting a time of 25:19 on
the 8k course and leading his team to a second place finish with 71
points. Monsulick covered the course one second better than
the course mark.
The College of New Jersey (149), Vassar College (172), and the
Middlebury College Panthers (224) rounded out the top five in a
field of 48 competing teams.
Ryan Wells of Oneonta State College finished second behind Monsulick with a time of 25:48. Grant Burgess and Mike Davitian were third and fourth for Williams with respective times of 25:50 and 25:57. Bates College sophomore Matt Dunlap checked in with a time of 26:05, finishing fifth for the Bobcats.
