Duke Captures IC4A Men's Cross Country Championship


Van Cortlandt Park, NY - Duke University won the 2008 IC4A Men's Cross Country Championship at Van Cortlandt Park.  The Blue Devils had six runners finish in the top 20.  Duquesne's senior Josh Eddy took the individual honor with a time of 25:11.  Marist senior David Raucci (25:13) was second, while Brian Guterl of St. Joseph's (25:15), Derek Dutille of Duquesne (25:17) and Adrien Dannemiller of Cornell (25:18) rounded out the top five.

The Blue Devils took home top honors with a score of 47.  Duquesne (87) finish second, Marist (102) third, Cornell (157) fourth and Princeton (183) was fifth.  Completing the top ten were Columbia (193), Yale (195), William & Mary (219), LaSalle (222) and Saint Joseph's (262).

In the University level race, Nicholas Decrescen from New Hampshire finished first with a time of 25:31.  New Hampshire took the team award with a score of 107, while Pittsburgh (137) and Rutgers (195) came in second and third.
