Men's Cross Country (for the week ending September 28, 2008)


Division I


Co-Athlete of the Week

 
Jonathan Anderson - Army
Senior, Cinnaminson, N.J.

 
Anderson was Army's top finisher at last weekend's highly competitive Roy Griak Invitational.  Anderson helped lead Army to a 14th place team finish and an individual 22nd place finish out of 229 runners with a time of 24:57 in the men's 8K. 

 
Ben Massam - William & Mary
Junior, Chatham, N.J.

 
Massam won the individual championship at the Colonial Inter-Regional meet.  Led by Massam, the Tribe men took three of the top four spots and won the team title by seven points over Michigan State.  Massam completed the 8K course in a time of 24:57, edging teammate Colin Leak by seven seconds.

Athlete of the Week

 
Chris Croff - Southern Connecticut University
Junior, Lisbon, Conn.


Croff placed second overall among 150 runners at the Leeber Invitational with a time of 25:20.  Croff helped his team to a first place finish overall.

 

Division III


Athlete of the Week


Zack Dickerson - Salisbury University
Senior, Elkridge, Md.

 
Dickerson won the Don Cathcart Invitational individual title and lead the Sea Gulls to a second place finish in the team standings.  Dickerson crossed the 8K finish line with a time of 20:06, 11 seconds ahead of second-place runner and teammate Travis Boccher.
