Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Selected as Top Seed in 2007 ECAC Division III Upstate Softball Championship

CAPE COD, Mass. - After finishing the regular season with a 24-8 record, RPI was selected as the number one seed in the 2007 ECAC Division III Upstate Softball Championship.  The tournament is a four-team, double-elimination tournament.  RPI will serve as host for the championship.

RPI will play the number 4 seed, Alfred University in the first game at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 12.  Union College, the number two seed, will meet St. John Fisher College, the number three seed in the second game at 12 Noon.

The loser of game one will play the loser of game two at 2 p.m. on Saturday, and the winner of game one will face the winner of game two at 4 p.m.

On Sunday, the loser of game four will play the winner of the 2 p.m. game on Saturday.  The final game will be played at 12 Noon.
