Player of the Week
Laurence Ekperigin - Le Moyne College
Junior, Forward, Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.
Ekperigin averaged 25 points, 11 rebounds and three assists per
game, while registering a 75 percent shooting percentage. The
junior tallied a game-high 26 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a
77-68 loss at American International. Later in the week, he scored
24 points and pulled down 11 more rebounds, while dishing out four
assists, blocking three shots and recording two steals in a 79-76
loss to Assumption.
Division III -
New England
Player of the Week
Graham Whitelaw - Endicott College
Junior, Guard, Kennebunk, Maine
Whitelaw led Endicott to a 2-1 week as the leading scorer
in each game. For the week, Whitelaw shot 24-for-39 from the
field and 7-for-12 from the three-point line. The junior
scored a career-high 30 points in a loss to Colby, while notching
11 points and eight rebounds in a 74-63 victory over Medgar
Evers. Whitelaw closed out his week with a 20-point
performance in a 60-58 win over Western Connecticut State.
Division III - Upstate
Player of the Week
Jeff Bostic - Ithaca College
Senior, Forward/Center, Genesee, N.Y.
Bostic was named the Most Valuable Player of the National
City Tournament at Allegheny. In the title game, Bostic
recorded his third double-double of the season with 19 points and
22 rebounds. For the week, the senior averaged 17 rebounds a
game.
Division III - Metro
Player of the Week
Tim Wesley - Ramapo College
Senior, Forward, Jersey City, N.J.
Wesley recorded a triple-double in the Roadrunners only
game of the week. In the 83-74 win over York (N.Y.), Wesley
scored 19 points on 9-of-12 shooting, while adding 10 rebounds, and
11 assists. The senior recorded the first triple-double in
the conference since 2005.
Division III - South
Player of the Week
Jack Anderson - Carnegie Mellon University
Junior, Forward, Beaver Falls, Pa.
Anderson was named Most Outstanding Player at the
Radisson/Carnegie Mellon Tournament. In a 3-0 week for the
Tartans, the junior averaged 15.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.7
assists, while shooting 50 percent from three-point range.
Against No. 21 Wooster, Anderson scored a career-high 19 points in
the 74-68 win. The forward recorded his first career
double-double, tallying 15 points and 12 rebounds in a 61-56
victory over Catholic.
