Williamsburg, Va. -- Canisius College won the 2008 ECAC Synchronized Swimming Championship with a score of 102 points, besting second place finisher Keuka College (77 points) by a 25-point margin. Wheaton College took third place with 75 points while the College of William & Mary (73), the University of Pennsylvania (57.5), and Wellesley College (7) rounded out the field.

Canisius earned victories in each event of the championship.  Nicole Cardinale, Laurie Wakelam, and Courtney Christman took first in the trio competition while teammates Natalla Tarasova and Yulia Shepelva receiving top honors in the duet event.  Shepelva finished first in the solo competition at after she collected 92.833 points.

As a team, Canisius recorded a score of 90.333 points to beat William & Mary's second-place finish.
