2009/2010 ECAC Holiday Festival Announced!
The ECAC and Disney have announced that the 2009-10 Holiday Festival will be held in two separate sessions. The first being December 20-24, 2009, and the second being January 1-5, 2010.
Teams will be staying at the luxurious Buena Vista Palace Spa and Hotel which is directly adjacent to Downtown Disney, and just a short ride away from Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex®.

2009 ECAC Holiday Festival (January 1-5, 2009)
The Inaugural Holiday Festival got underway with six women's collegiate basketball teams arriving in Orlando, Florida on New Year's Day ready for Disney fun and some competitive basketball. The tournament field consisted of two three-team round robin formatted brackets. Each of the six institutions played two games, with two being crowned bracket champion. Two student-athletes were also honored as the Tournament's Most Outstanding Player for their consistent play throughout the three day event. Below are the women's results from each day, along with championship game recaps and a listing of the Most Outstanding Players.

Officiating
Nineteen ECAC men's and women's basketball
officials were selected to participate in the Inaugural event.

The ECAC assigns over 4,400 officials in 12 sports across Divisions I, II, and III, including men's and women's basketball, fencing, field hockey, football, gymnastics, ice hockey, men's and women's soccer, softball, and wrestling. The bureaus assign for both conference and NCAA championships and totaled over 46,000 assignments last year.
