University of Bridgeport Wins 2009 ECAC Division II Women's Gymnastics Championship
New Haven, Conn.- University of Bridgeport finished with an overall score of 191.650 to win the 2009 ECAC Division II Women’s Gymnastics Championship. The hosts from Southern Connecticut State University took second with a score of 187.975 and West Chester University finished third with a score of 178.100.
Lorraine Galow of University of Bridgeport had the best All-Around performance, scoring a 38.750. Galow scored 9.700 on the vault, 9.650 on the uneven parallel bars, 9.600 on the balance beam, and 9.800 on floor exercise. Southern Connecticut’s Justine Basley finished second in the all-around with a 38.225, and Bridgeport’s Miranda Der finished third with a score of 38.175.
There was a tie for first on the vault with teammates Mirander Der and Lorraine Galow from University of Bridgeport with scores of 9.700. The top score for uneven parallel bars was Justine Basley from Southern Connecticut with a score of 9.800. Emily Repko of the University of Bridgeport had the top score with a 9.825 on the balance beam, and there was a three-way tie for first place between teammates Breanna Collins, Lorraine Galow, and Miranda Der from University of Bridgeport with scores of 9.800.
