Parsons, who has been steady all season on beam, notched her season high score with a 9.750.  Anchoring the beam team for the first time this weekend, she earned herself a third place finish.  Again this weekend, she stepped up big for Penn by not only making her routine, but earned the high score for the Quakers on all events.

Coaches Choice
Sarah Hughes, Yale University
Senior, King Ferry, N.Y.

Scores from the week:
Vault: 8.100                   Bars: 8.450
Beam: 8.850                  Floor Exercise: 9.400
All-Around: 34.800

Due to depleted numbers on the Yale squad, Hughes competed on two events shed does not train for.  After training for one day she competed on beam and was and stayed on to compete on three more events doing a Yurchenko time so that Yale would not take zero.  She has been an absolute team player and had no qualms about competing for the team.
