Harvard Wins 2007 ECAC Open Swimming and Diving Championship
Host Harvard was victorious on both the men's and women's sides of
the 2007 ECAC Open Swimming and Diving Championships taking place
February 16-18. After leading going into the final day of
competition, the Marist Women were unable to hold off the late
surge that the Crimson Women put together to take home first
place. With a mere 11 points on the first day, the
Harvard Men progressively increased that lead to remain in control
of the leaderboard and cruise to victory.
The Binghamton men swept the individual awards with Brian Lawler
taking home the Diver of the Meet, teammate David Holmes
was distinguised as Swimmer of the Meet, while Head Coach Sean
Clark was named Coach of the Meet. The Marist Red Foxes
took two of the three individual honors as Jamie Falco was named
Swimmer of the Meet and Head Coach Larry Van Wagner the Coach of
the Meet. Amanda Burke of Rider University claimed the Diver
of the Meet distinction.
Thirty-three Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving
teams competed at Blodgett Pool on the campus of Harvard
University located in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
